Guias de Cascais

Associação Guias de Portugal (AGP) is an association that is open to the public. It is a form of volunteering and promotes the non-formal education movement of Guides, based on the method created by Robert Baden-Powell.

Its mission is to provide girls and young women with the opportunity to fully develop their potential as responsible world citizens, using its own method: gradual attribution of responsibility, encouraging group work and autonomy, encouraging commitment to the community, whilst using the outdoors as a privileged training space.

AGP is a member of the World Association of Girl Guides – WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts), to which 10 million Guides spread across 150 countries belong.

There are 4 Companies in Cascais: 1st Company of Cascais, 1st Company of Parede, 1st Company of Carcavelos and 1st Company of S.Domingos de Rana. The 1st Company of Cascais has its headquarters in Parque Marechal Carmona, right next to the Parish.
