The Salesian Sisters, Daughters of Mary Helper of Christians, have a school known as Externato de Nossa Senhora do Rosário in the neighbourhood of the same name. This day school has a church dedicated to the patron saint of the school, the Oratory of Our Lady of the Rosary.
Displaying modern lines, the architecture of the Oratory is simple. It is a relatively large space which can accommodate 400 seated.
There are two main elements which stand out in its design: a crucifix and an image of Our Lady of the Rosary, both featured on the wall of the presbytery.
In addition to the school celebrations, the Oratory is open to the public for Mass on Sundays.
