Father Nuno Coelho
Parish Priest

Born in Paço de Arcos, it was whilst participating in pre-seminary activities in Lisbon that Father Nuno discovered his vocation. He first joined the minor seminary of Caparide before continuing at the seminaries of Almada e Olivais, and was ordained to the priesthood on the 29th of June 2002 at the Jerónimos Monastery in Lisbon. Once ordained, Father Nuno carried out several pastoral missions, amongst which he held the positions of Seminary Prefect of Caparide, Prefect of the Pre-seminary of Lisbon, Minister to the Equipas Jovens de Nossa Senhora (Young Teams of Our Lady), Minister to the Escuteiros do Núcleo da Barra (Scouts) and Curate of the parish of Cristo-Rei de Algés. It was on the 5th of October 2008 that Father Nuno became the main Parish Priest in Cascais.

Father Mendo Ataíde
Parish Vicar

Father Mendo was born in Lisbon and there attended the Military College. He took part in a school exchange programme in the United States of America which awakened him spiritually, in his search for God.

He graduated in Management from the Catholic University of Lisbon and it was through the activities of the chaplaincy and the Missão País (Country Mission), that the first seeds of his vocation were sown. He went on to study Philosophy at the University of Santa Cruz in Rome, later joining the Seminary at Olivais and the Faculty of Theology at the Catholic University of Lisbon.

He was ordained to the priesthood at Jerónimos Monastery on the 28th of June 2020 and took up the role of parish vicar in Cascais on the 6th of July of the same year.

Father José António Roque Pereira
Associate

A member of the community of the Apóstolos de Santa Maria (Apostles of Holy Mary), Father Roque was ordained to the Priesthood on the 27th of July 1991.
He has been collaborating diligently with the Parish of Cascais for a very long time in his special role as Hospital Chaplain, at the Cascais Hospital where he carries out his apostolic work with patients and their families.
